Return & Refund Policy

This policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds work at Inspire Yellow. Because many of our products are made to order, some terms differ from a typical off-the-shelf retailer — please read this page carefully before placing your order.

1. Return Eligibility

You may request a return if:

  • The item arrives damaged or defective
  • The item received is incorrect
  • The item significantly differs from the product description

To be eligible for a return, you must:

  • Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Provide your order number
  • Provide clear photos showing the issue
  • Return the item in its original condition whenever applicable

Items returned without prior authorization may not be accepted.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Personalized or custom-made products
  • Products created according to customer specifications
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable digital products
  • Items damaged due to misuse, improper care, or normal wear and tear

Because many of our products are made to order, returns based solely on customer preference — such as ordering the wrong size, color, or changing your mind after production has started — may not be eligible for a refund.

3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos of the product
  • Photos of the packaging, if applicable

After review, we may offer one of the following remedies:

  • Replacement item
  • Store credit
  • Full refund
  • Partial refund

The resolution will depend on the nature of the issue.

Get Authorization

Wait for return authorization and instructions before sending anything back.

Ship & Inspection

Ship approved returns within 7 days of authorization. Once received, items are typically inspected within 2–5 business days.

You will be notified by email once the inspection has been completed. Unauthorized returns may be refused.

5. Return Shipping Costs

If the return is due to our error

If the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, we may:

  • Provide a replacement at no additional cost, or
  • Reimburse reasonable return shipping costs where applicable

If the return is requested for other reasons

If a return is approved for reasons other than our error, the customer may be responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs
  • Any applicable handling fees
  • Any customs duties or import fees associated with the return

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item (if a return is required), we will notify you of the refund decision. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible.

Please allow:

  • 3–5 business days for refund processing
  • Additional time depending on your payment provider or financial institution

7. Order Cancellations

Before production or processing

Orders may be canceled for a full refund if production or fulfillment has not yet begun.

After production has started

Because many products are made to order, orders generally cannot be canceled once production has begun. If cancellation is still possible, a processing fee may apply.

8. Exchanges

We may offer exchanges for:

  • Damaged items
  • Defective items
  • Incorrect items received

Exchanges for customer-selected size, color, style, or preference changes may not be available for custom or made-to-order products. Please carefully review product descriptions and sizing information before placing your order.

9. Lost Packages

If tracking information indicates that a package has been lost in transit, please contact us. We may:

  • Investigate with the shipping carrier
  • Arrange a replacement shipment, or
  • Issue a refund where appropriate

Claims for lost packages should be submitted within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.

10. Refused or Undeliverable Packages

If an order is returned to us because:

  • An incorrect shipping address was provided
  • Delivery was refused, or
  • The package was unclaimed

any refund may be reduced by:

  • Shipping costs
  • Return shipping fees
  • Carrier handling charges
  • Processing fees

11. Chargebacks

If you experience a problem with your order, we encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve the issue promptly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting our support team may delay resolution and investigation of the claim.

12. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. Where local law provides additional rights regarding returns, refunds, or cancellations, those rights will apply.
